NEW YORK (AP) – A family member says Ed Hotaling, a network news journalist and author of several books including “They’re Off! Horse racing at Saratoga,” has died.

Greg Hotaling says his father died of heart failure Monday at the age of 75. He had been in a nursing home since a serious car accident in 2007.
